Hi everyone,
In my computer lessons at college we have been using Adobe Illustrator to design shoes for example which have got a different print to usual.
I took at Fila Disruptor shoe which is very popular at the moment and changed it using a side view of the image I found on the internet. Then using the pen tool on illustrator to outline the shoe. This then made it easy to be able to fill in different areas of the shoe, making it into my own style. At first I found it quite difficult to make an outline which was detailed enough as it is quite an odd Ahmed shoe. As I had used this shoe as I knew that it would challenge me. I think that a converse shoe or a vans style shoe would also look really nice as a outline. However I do like the Fila shoe. I also think that I played it a bit safe as the shoe is style a plain white colour. So I do think that it would nice with a bright vivid colour for example green or another bold colour. Which you can’t purchase off Fila.
After this I started to experiment with different molds. I created a dr marten template but I unfortunately don’t have a screenshot of that. I overall found it hard to create the outline as the photograph off google images was at an odd angle which I wish I had used I better angle quality of a photo
After this I created a t shirt template which I found on google images I outlined it in a yellow font to make it stand out, I am overall really happy with how neat this is and in future would like to add a graphic print to the t shirt which I think would look really nice. I overall really like using illustrator and will definitely use it in the near future on garment designs.
