Digital media in art and design
Rosanna Webster is an illustration graduate who explores experimentation in her body of work. The Brighton University alumni and an emerging artist uses a range of mediums including film, photography and collage which explores diverse themes and meanings. With ideas ranging from exploring modes of play to shamanism. Starting with painting and drawing Webster expands to using photoshop and photography with a graphic design feel to her work. From an interview the artist said that she enjoys exploring different layers you can bring to an image for example incorporating a variety of mediums on computer and off. Her most recent work has incorporated film on photography which I think works really well together. She has big inspiration for Viviana Sassen who Webster sags has an incredible eye for composition and colour. She also likes Jeff Luker’s work which she likes how beautiful and intimate the work is.
Rosanna Webster currently has exhibitions in London at the V&A museum and in Russia showcasing her work. She has worked with Vogue Paris, Dazed Digital, Girls on Film 05 and Land Magazine. From what I have learnt about Webster I love her use of layers added and building up a collage of images in a shape of a human. I am going to experiment with what I learnt from Webster’s work in my own in future.

Her work is like a magazine cover with the style of her illustrations and the bold vivid colours used.
I like how her work has movement and really engages the viewer p, would like to explore with movement in my photoshop work like she does in future.
ID magazine is a mostly online used magazine which bases it themes on fashion. They base their design layout in a simple but professional way. Their articles are very clear and detailed. Also I picked up very quickly that they almost always work completely on online programmes as all the images on their website are all computer generated from what I found out.
The magazine uses a dark tone on the subject of the images which contrast very well with plain white or black background. The simplicity of the covers makes them stand out with the basic images and fonts used, would like to try their technique in future fashion illustrations and images
