Exploring Adobe Illustrator

In college we have been exploring how to create repeat patterns online. I have been exploring the different tools you can use on the programme. I wanted to outline the subjects to make them stand out better to the white background. Also I thought that the outline could be created into a separate repeat pattern as well. Overall I am happy with what I crested and am excited to explore the programme more in the future.

Late Christmas project

Happy new year! Sorry but I forgot to post a project that I had been working on before Christmas and the new year. So thought I'd post it now, better late than never. This Christmas jumper/top has been created using a black long sleeve top, different festive themed fabric cotton fat quarters. Finally with a variety of different ribbons and threads to finish the garment off. I think it looks really neat and has been quite successful, leave your feedback down in the comments :)

Paper garment inspired by Susan Cutts

I wanted to experiment using the techniques which Susan Cutts uses in her work. I decided to create my own paper garment like what she does in sculpture form I used a fabric base in calico fir the bodice, then papa mashed with thin strips of paper over the top. Then created a ruffle neckline and bottom using kitchen roll flowers stuck on by duct tape. For the skirt I used duct tape and newspaper which created a tutu like skirt. Finishing with the same paper roses over the top to cover the waistband.
