Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace

On Friday 12th October I went to the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace London as part of my Fashion and Textiles course.

This was my first visit and the scale of the show was bigger than I expected.  The range of products was vast and there were some very interesting exhibits.   A display of garments made by the Kings Ely school really caught my eye - I like the autumnal colours and the boldness of this garment's design with the contrast of the fitted bodice and use of gathering in the skirt creating the flower shape.

The show finishes tomorrow at Alexandra Palace and then moves to Dublin and Harrogate and is then back in London next March.  If you get a chance to go, I would definitely recommend it.
