Inspiration book

Image
At college we have started to create an inspiration book, for our patterncutting lessons. This is a small sketchbook were we collect ideas from magazines.  I used magazines and fabric to create these colourful collage pages. I will add more to my inspiration book in future which I will post on my blog. Charlotte X

Another Laroache Brothers inspired shoot

Image
Recently I did another Laroache Brothers inspired photoshoot. For the photoshoot the photos were taken at my college in the fashion gallery. We used this location as we thought the background would work well and be more interesting. The mannequins were used often which I think worked really well. I used the pen tool on my phone to edit the photographs which I think adds a lot of good contrast which balances the photos well together.

Starting to create a zine on Adobe InDesign

Last week I started to create a zine on Adobe InDesign which I have talked about on a blog post before. My theme for my zine is upcoming Spring/Summer 19 trends. Some of the information I will be including is the leopard trend and sweetheart necklines and puffed sleeves. When I have completed my zine I will do a completed post on my final product.

A zine is a short magazine, it is a small circulation self published work of original texts and images which are usually reproduced on a photocopier. As I mentioned I have created mine on Adobe InDesign. Which I will talk about on a separate blog post in the near future.

The magazine is known for its innovative photography and typography and as a training ground for fresh talent. Photographers such as Wolfgang Tillmans and Terry Richardson have worked with the magazine on multiple occasions. People who have appeared in magazine are as follows Madonna, Alexander McQueen, Kanye West and Raf Simons. The magazine pioneered the hybrid style of documentary fashion photography called The Straight Up. The tipped on the side logo reveals a wrinkling smile. Most covers have featured a wrinkling cover model. The brands covers are...

It currently has been snowing where I live. I went to a local forest and took a few photos of the beautiful landscapes which I though I would share with you on my blog.
